The Last Call Audit is a self-paced tool sent to establishments through Good Night Out Vancouver. The Audit process is opt-in and something we hope businesses are enthusiastic to do. The Audit criteria was developed by Good Night Out Vancouver and the City of Vancouver using industry - specific research about what helps improve worker and patrons perceptions of safety in food and beverage and nightlife spaces.

Created as a collaborative project between Good Night Out Vancouver, the City of Vancouver, and local businesses, the Last Call credentialing program helps foster a collective approach to address and prevent sexual violence. By advocating for and sharing baseline (and beyond!) prevent standards for the industry, the Last Call Project promotes and celebrates accountability across the sector. Learn about Phase One here.

35% of women surveyed by Stats Canada cited a commercial establishment as the location of their most serious sexual assault. [source]
In a report released in April of 2022, workers were asked if they had experienced sexual harassment at work. Over 70% said they had. [source]
In a sample of 264 college students (men), 77% reported that they had pressed up against a woman (they did not know) from behind in nightlife setting. [source]
66% of respondents in GNOV’s annual safety survey indicated that discreet tools to get help would increase their sense of safety inside alcohol-serving establishments [source]
Almost all victims of Drug-Faciliated Sexual Assault (DFSA) are women. The majority are aged 16 and 24. In half of reported DFSA cases, the victim was assaulted by a friend or acquaintance. Most often the victim was socializing at a club, bar, lounge, restaurant, party, or other social event immediately before the assault [source]
